As one of the UK’s most beautiful areas, this location offers 27 glorious miles of shoreline, a magical environment full of wildlife and flora, fresh, clean air and magnificent expansive horizons – plenty to fuel the imagination!
Local facilities and activities in the surrounding area include the multi-user Lakeside Way, Kielder mountain bike trails, forest walks, and historical sites in Northumberland, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders.
The park holds International Dark Sky status, is the largest area of protected dark skies in Europe and is home to the award-winning Kielder Observatory, one of the most remarkable places to visit in the whole of the UK. A public astronomical observatory where you’ll find “infinite inspiration” and wonders you could never have imagined!
